Yes, Off Type is a farming & fermented foods company, keeping the good bacteria alive, but that’s not all. Since entering the wold of farming, I have been striving to integrate popular education (look it up, but think: education by and for the people) with healthy foods and regenerative agriculture. If we approach the world with a desire to learn, even the microbes have lessons for us. I hope you will partner with us in developing resilient local food systems that benefit everyone.
Off Type will always stand with oppressed people’s struggles, Indigenous sovereignty, regenerative agricultural systems, increasing land access for emerging farmers, rematriating seeds, and social democracy everywhere around the world. When we say “antifascist” it refers to a myriad of global efforts to prevent the rise of “fascism:” defined as a far-right, authoritarian, ultranationalist political ideology/movement, characterized by dictatorial leadership, centralized autocracy, militarism, forcible suppression of opposition, belief in a natural social hierarchy, subordination of diverse interests for the perceived good of the the nation or race.
